Information for Authors

Submission of abstracts

Abstracts must include the title of the paper, name(s) of the author(s) and of the communicating author, full address for correspondence (including e-mail). All submitted abstracts will be refereed by the Scientific Committee. To ensure proper evaluation, abstracts should be approximately 3-4 pages. They should describe the substantive problem and the data analysed, as well as the approach and models used. Also include a clear statement of the main results and conclusions and the key references. Indicate below your title whether you wish to give an oral or poster presentation or if you are a student. Students should state Student Oral Presentation or Student Poster below the title of the abstract. The workshop language is English.

Format

Abstracts and manuscripts should be prepared in LaTeX using the style files iwsm.sty and graphicx.sty, according to the guidelines contained in the template file template.tex. Only use (encapsulated) postscript files to be included as black and white graphics (example.eps). Please do not use external bib-files and follow the guidelines very strictly.

The format files are the same used at IWSM 21, so previous contributors may use what they already have.

Refereeing and acceptance

Dr. A.Espinal

Papers and posters will be refereed by the Scientific Committee. Authors are invited to submit an abstract by email, to Dr. Anna Espinal not later than February 9, 2007. Important: all abstracts must be submitted in PDF format.

A decision on the acceptance of the abstracts will be made around March 12, 2007, and a notification will be sent by e-mail.

Note: Due to the limited number of oral presentations some authors who have submitted an abstract for an oral presentation might be asked to submit a poster presentation instead.

Final Manuscript

The final manuscript, ready for printing, must reach the organizers no later than April 13, 2007. The authors must sent the pdf file, LaTeX file and the associated files for the graphics compressed in a zip file. Manuscripts will be handled only for registered participants. The final manuscript will not be automatically included in the proceedings volume. Please register before or simultaneously with submission of your final manuscript. The formal registration deadline for authors is hence April 13, 2007.

Maximum length of final paper:

4 pages for poster presentations.
6 pages for oral presentations.

Legal considerations

By submitting a final paper, authors agree to grant the organizers of the workshop the right to publish the paper in the conference proceedings volume, to be distributed at the workshop. The material should not have been published elsewhere before the workshop. The workshop does not claim copyright and authors are free to publish the same material elsewhere after the workshop. Authors should ensure that publication in the conference proceedings does not conflict with the rights of third parties, nor violates non-disclosure agreements or copyright laws.
